When to Book for the Class of 2026
Fairfield typically distributes caps and gowns in late April, with commencement around mid-May — which makes early May the perfect window for photos.
Sessions last about 60–90 minutes, depending on how many grads are participating.
There are a limited number of weekday mornings and weekend afternoons available, and a $200 retainer is required to hold your date.
Favorite Fairfield University Photo Locations
You’re welcome to choose 2–3 campus spots that are special to you. Popular locations include:
- Bellarmine Hall — timeless architecture and sweeping views
- The Fairfield stag statue — a must for every grad
- The Fairfield University entrance sign — a classic backdrop
Some grads like to add a few fun, off-campus spots like Sea Grape or the beach (optional add-on).
Group or Individual Sessions — or Both!
You can book a solo session or celebrate with your group of friends. (Individual sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes.)
All packages include both individual portraits and group shots, so everyone gets a mix of personal and shared memories.
Tips for a Great Graduation Photoshoot
Choose meaningful spots. Think of where you’ve made your best Fairfield memories.
Coordinate without matching. Soft tones, neutrals, traditional white dresses or Fairfield red always look great.
Bring your cap, gown, and cords. Don’t forget that tassel!
