Hi! I'm Caroline
Hi I’m Caroline. I’ve had a lifelong love affair with photos and photography.
I come from a long line of photographers. My grandfather and my father were both photographers and enjoyed the entire process from taking the photos to developing them. Both of them had dark rooms in their basement to develop their own photos.
I got my first camera when I was about 10 and I used to go shooting with my grandfather in historical places in Chicago. We spend afternoons taking beautiful pictures together and he would impart wisdom as we searched for architecturally pleasing sites.
When I was in high school, one of my first job was at Expressly Portraits, taking pictures of children and families.
I’ve always had a camera around my neck or a phone in my hand snapping pictures. There isn’t a year that’s gone by that. I haven’t gotten an annual photo with my family --cherishing a special seasons of change. As the photographer I’m rarely in the photos, so those annual photo sessions were worth every penny.
Starting my own photography business has been a dream come true. I love helping people see themselves the way that others see them. Capturing someone's inner beauty is my favorite part. The twinkle in the eye, the sly smile, the Looks. That's how it's done. When I see it, I know, and I hope you do too!!
Editing photos is where the magic happens. For every hour I spend photographing a client, I probably spend about 4 editing.
Through a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop, I'm able to enhance the images to match a style that I'm hoping becomes my own.
It was nice to meet you virtually---I hope to meet you at one of my Ridgefield, Danbury, Trumbull, New Canaan, Newtown, Wilton or Westport shoots. My studio in Ridgefield is always open and I'm always looking for new and fresh ideas. Let's talk soon!
